The ‘Software as a Service’ (SaaS) model allows Unisite to provide larger value to the client as we seek to improve our service offering.

SaaS means that Unisite is offered as a service to our clients rather than as a product. Software products have always been a bitter-sweet investment by consumers because they get great value once the product is purchased but the product is out-dated before the shopper even reaches the exit door. This is why software product companies choose to offer ‘ugrade purchases’ to reward those customers who have bought previous versions of the software. Software service, on the other hand, offers much more to the client by taking on the upgrading and updating of software as part of the service. Essentially allowing the client to have the latest version of the software at all times.

Internet software only needs a simple computer to run the software because the information processing happens onine. This means that you wont need to upgrade your computer hardware whenever the software is updated. Your information is also stored securely online – safe from any computer crashes.

The Unisite Web Based Business Software concept, supported by the SaaS model has so much more to offer the client.

All software features remotely accessible through the web/cloud.

SaaS primarily uses a ‘user’ based pricing system which means that entry level costs can be very low for small and large businesses.

SaaS revenue streams to the client are therefore lower initially than traditional software license fees, but are also recurring, and therefore more predictable, much like website hosting fees.

Centralized feature updating, which removes the need for end-users to download patches and upgrades.

More feature requests from users since there is frequently no marginal cost for requesting new features.

Faster releases of new features since the entire community of users benefits from new functionality.

Offsite Data backup built into service offering.

SaaS software increases effeciency and productivity and replaces unnecessary human resource.

The internet browser is the hub of all your activity on the internet. Most people end up using Internet Explorer because this is the browser that came free with their computer in the first place. However Microsoft has come under some very serious critisism over the past few years because of the lack of commitment to the Internet Explorer browser.

At Sesalos we recommend to all our clients that they use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Here’s why:

Internet Explorer does not keep up
The main concern is that the internet is developing at an incredible rate and Internet Explorer (IE) is not keeping up with the right development trends. This has lead to new internet browser breaking into the market and providing a better technological platform and a more secure interface.

IE Market Share Dropping
IE does have the majority of market share but this is changing rapidly with IE market share dropping. Firefox is by far becoming the internet browser of choice with its market share almost doubling in the last 18 months. (Browser Stats). At the moment Firefox is the single most used internet browser on the market.

Firefox Works
Firefox works because they are focused. They are only a company who builds this internet browser. Therefore they are focused on the task at hand and do a great job at keeping up to date with technology.

Download Firefox – It’s Free!!
We recommend that you download Firefox. It has a bunch of really popular and time saving add-ons that make your web surfing experiencing that much better. Firefox can tell you more about what makes their browser so good themselves on this link.
