Setting up your intranet using Prism

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

Sometimes we prefer to have an icon on our desktop that we click and then our intranet opens. If this is the case then we suggest you download Prism

Prism is a very simple programme that makes a desktop program out of your Sesalos Intranet or Content Management System. The Unisite development team has also committed to making sure that Unisite systems are compatible with Prism.

Here is a quick step by step tutorial to setup Prism for Unisite:

Step 1:

Download Prism from this website

Step 2:

Double click on the downloaded file and you should get a window that displays all the folder contents.

Click on the file named “prism.exe”

Step 3:

You will now have the menu shown below.
Prizm-Settings

URL:
In theĀ  URL section type the address of your Unisite Intranet. (If you are unsure of the address please contact your Unisite supplier).

Name:
Type a name for your icon. IE: “Unisite Intranet”

Please make sure that all the tick boxes are selected, like in the example above.

Step 4

Click OK
We hope this helps in making your Unisite experience more enjoyable.

This is why software product companies choose to offer ‘ugrade purchases’ to reward those customers who have bought previous versions of the software. Software service, on the other hand, offers much more to the client by taking on the upgrading and updating of software as part of the service. Essentially allowing the client to have the latest version of the software at all times.
